Administration & Communications Coordinator
We’re currently recruiting for a strong administrator to join an independent community-focused organisation working across Kildare.
This is a varied administration-led role combining office coordination, communications, social media, events and community engagement, with the opportunity to make a real contribution to how local community and voluntary groups connect, engage and participate.
The Role
Working closely with the coordinator, you’ll help support the organisation’s day-to-day operations while promoting engagement with community, environmental and social inclusion groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and X
- Managing and updating the organisation’s website
- Producing and distributing regular newsletters
- Preparing annual reports and other communications
- Supporting elections and related administration
- Preparing materials for meetings, workshops and surveys
- Organising and attending meetings and community events
- Promoting the organisation and its work to members, stakeholders and the wider community
- Supporting financial administration, accounts and expenses
- Providing general administrative and operational support to the Coordinator
- Working occasional evenings and weekends when required
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong social media skills
- Experience with Salesforce, Canva and WordPress
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport
Desirable
- Experience working with community or voluntary organisations
- Report writing experience
- A qualification or experience in digital marketing
- Experience working with voluntary committees
