As the successful candidate, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the safe fabrication of pole products on-site, meeting customer specifications and adhering to the appropriate EN quality standards.
- Collaborating with fellow fabrication team members to facilitate the smooth execution of fabrication, daily treatment charges loading/unloading, and fulfilling any ancillary duties as required.
- Implementing 6S principles across the fabrication process to maintain excellent housekeeping.
- Upholding Company EHS standards daily and investigating any non-conformances.
- Participating in relevant training for daily tasks, actively engaging in team-based work, and completing daily checks under CATCH for pole quality, pole cut-backs, and H&S equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Essential:
- Proficiency in the daily use of chainsaws, drills, and other cutting/boring equipment.
- Extensive working knowledge of customer product quality specifications.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, coupled with self-motivation and a positive approach.
- Well-organized, conscientious, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable or Willing to be trained:
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing systems & 6S.
- Introductory wood science or forestry management qualification.
- Comfortable working in a team environment, with a willingness to lead and share responsibilities as needed.
- Comprehensive understanding of Company E,H&S policy requirements and quality standards.
