Clark Recruitment is excited to collaborate with our Naas-based client in the pursuit of hiring a dedicated Service Engineer for a full-time, permanent position.
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of smoke ventilation equipment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for setting up Automatic Opening Vents, Chain Drive Motors, Fire and Smoke Curtains, as well as executing planned preventative maintenance tasks. This role demands a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service, as the customer base spans nationwide with a significant portion of the workload concentrated in the Leinster region.
Responsibilities:
• Execute the installation of the specified systems in accordance with prevailing standards.
• Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and address necessary remedial work.
• Respond to emergency callouts promptly and effectively.
• Perform tasks at elevated heights (such as roof work, ladder usage, scaffold, and MEWP operation).
• Proficiently identify and resolve electrical and pneumatic malfunctions.
• Carry out termination and commissioning procedures for Control Panels.
• Label equipment and control panels post-servicing.
• Complete work sheets and engineer's reports pertinent to the ongoing task.
• Deliver exemplary Customer Service, cultivating and sustaining positive customer relationships.
• Adhere rigorously to all stipulated health and safety protocols, method statements, and risk assessments.
Skills and Requirements:
• Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrical & Mechanical technician.
• Familiarity with smoke ventilation detection systems is advantageous.
• Display reliability, integrity, and self-motivation, while excelling in both independent and collaborative work environments.
• Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and hands-on approach.
• Exhibit proficient spoken and written English communication skills.
• Maintain up-to-date Safe Pass & Manual Handling Certifications.
• Hold a valid, clean driving license.
• Willingness to travel, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
