HR Generalist

My client, a well established organisation based in Dublin 22 is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its HR function and provide comprehensive operational and advisory support across the business.

This role is well suited to a proactive HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting HR best practice, ensuring legislative compliance, and contributing to a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer HR documentation across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, leave management (maternity, paternity, sick leave, etc.) and exit processes.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing timely and accurate HR guidance.
  • Maintain accurate HR and Health & Safety records using HR systems.
  • Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Participate in employee relations discussions, including engagement with trade union representatives where applicable.
  • Support recruitment and selection processes, including drafting job descriptions, participating in interviews, and onboarding.
  • Assist with learning and development initiatives, employee engagement, and recognition activities.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure.
  • Sound knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with discretion and sound judgement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards same.
