Customer Service Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join a fast-paced and growing logistics and transport operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service by managing freight forwarding activities from booking through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong communication throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional communication with customers and internal departments via email and telephone
- Accurately process and enter bookings into internal systems
- Ensure consignments are directed to the appropriate departments promptly
- Liaise with operations teams and overseas partners to ensure customer requirements are met
- Monitor shipments and ensure deliveries are completed within agreed timelines
- Resolve customer and operational issues proactively and efficiently
- Produce accurate and timely invoicing
- Input and manage operational costs within internal systems
- Provide Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation when required
- Prepare and submit quotations in line with company procedures
- Create and maintain KPI reports using internal systems and Microsoft Excel
- Complete non-conformance reporting where necessary
- Support general day-to-day administrative duties
- Monitor shipment volumes and report significant changes to management
About You

- Organised, reliable, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail with good accuracy and numeracy skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or transport operations preferred
- Experience with transport management systems would be advantageous

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (39 hours per week)
