We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join our client’s growing finance team based in Little Island, Co. Cork. This role is ideally suited to a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a busy SME environment and enjoys supporting day-to-day financial operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and invoicing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of financial administration processes while supporting the wider finance team during periods of growth and increased activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately
- Process supplier invoices, payment runs, and customer invoicing
- Perform bank, supplier, and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end reporting and finance administration tasks
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up where required
- Support the finance team with general administrative duties and ad hoc reporting
- Ensure deadlines are consistently met in a fast-paced environment
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and customers professionally
- Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator or similar finance support role
- Strong experience across AP, AR, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Experience working within SME environments preferred
- Proficient in accounting software, example Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines effectively
- Comfortable supporting busy finance teams during growth periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
