Company Accountant

Naas, Co. Kildare | Full-Time | Onsite

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation operating in a high-volume commercial environment, is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function and play a key role in supporting the business’s continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys a hands-on role with broad responsibility, working closely with senior leadership while overseeing day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full finance function, including management accounts, financial reporting and reconciliations.
Manage cashflow, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
Lead weekly payroll processing, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, pensions and employee benefits.
Ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, AML, KYC and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate audits and maintain accurate financial records.
Manage financial systems, including Sage, and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
Support budgeting, financial planning, profitability analysis and commercial decision-making.
Evaluate tenders, pricing structures, rebate agreements and business opportunities.
Supervise and support finance team members while assisting with HR administration and related activities.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong experience across financial accounting, payroll and financial controls.
Excellent knowledge of Sage, Excel and accounting systems.
Solid understanding of Irish taxation and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
