The Opportunity

Clark Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing logistics business to recruit a Senior Logistics Manager / Service Delivery Manager for its Kilkenny operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics leader to take ownership of operational improvement across warehouse and transport functions. The role will focus on driving efficiency, improving service delivery, developing leadership capability, and implementing processes to support the continued growth of the business.

The Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead operational improvement initiatives across a busy distribution site, with responsibility for enhancing performance, streamlining processes, and building a high-performing operational team.

The successful candidate will combine strong operational knowledge with a strategic approach to continuous improvement, change management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead improvement initiatives across warehouse, transport, and distribution operations.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.
Drive Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence programmes.
Analyse operational KPIs and performance data to identify trends and deliver measurable improvements.
Optimise warehouse processes, transport planning, resource utilisation, and site capacity.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, transport regulations, and quality standards.
Work closely with commercial and customer-facing teams to support service requirements and business growth.
Establish clear performance targets and reporting structures across the operation.
Coach and develop site leadership teams, promoting accountability and strong operational performance.
Lead change initiatives and embed a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Significant experience in logistics, distribution, warehouse, transport, or supply chain management.
A proven track record of leading teams within a complex, fast-paced operational environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse and transport operations, with a focus on efficiency and service delivery.
Experience delivering Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate performance data into practical improvements.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost control, customer service, and operational performance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing change and developing high-performing teams.
A Transport Manager CPC or equivalent industry qualification would be an advantage.
