Working closely with suppliers and internal planning teams, you will monitor stock levels, manage purchase orders, resolve supply issues and help maintain healthy inventory levels to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the replenishment of raw materials and/or finished goods to ensure stock availability at the right place and time.
  • Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through the ERP system, balancing demand against available resources and aligning replenishment with forecasts.
  • Manage the conversion of purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensuring orders are processed accurately and in line with forecast requirements.
  • Monitor MRP exceptions and work directly with suppliers to resolve issues and expedite deliveries where necessary.
  • Manage customer request workflows and take appropriate action to maintain product availability.
  • Define and manage transportation modes, using the relevant tools and workflows to support changes where required.
  • Record purchase order acknowledgements and advance shipping notifications in the ERP system.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and other purchasing issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, maintaining effective communication and following up on outstanding deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and take corrective action to address shortages, excess stock and other inventory risks.
  • Participate in Short Interval Management (SIM2) activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse on-time delivery (OTD) performance, identify root causes of issues and support improvements in the customer experience.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by management.

Skills and Experience

  • 2–3 years' experience in a Supply Chain Planning environment.
  • Strong experience in inventory management and supply planning.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP MM, along with workflow tools and planning or reporting platforms such as Tableau or Kinaxis.
  • Good problem-solving and issue-resolution skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and take appropriate action.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly when working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, international environment.
  • A proactive approach to managing priorities, maintaining stock availability and achieving results.
