The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Control Room Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and continued development of an EN50518 Alarm Receiving Centre.
This is a senior operational role for someone who can combine people leadership, security operations, technology, compliance and client management. You will be responsible for ensuring the control room delivers a high-quality, efficient and compliant service while continually identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and customer experience.
You will work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, HR and IT, as well as external clients and technology partners, making this a key role within the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Control Room and EN50518 Alarm Receiving Centre.
Manage, develop and support the Control Room team, including training, performance management, rosters, leave and employee development.
Develop and maintain training programmes, procedures, workflows, scripts and operational documentation.
Ensure the Control Room remains compliant with relevant standards and legislation, including EN50518, SR25, SR45, ISO standards and PSA requirements.
Oversee customer support and monitoring platforms including Sentinel, Immix, CSL, Isle System, Chase and Timeguard.
Manage the setup and onboarding of new client connections, ensuring all installations meet the required compliance and setup criteria.
Work closely with installers, IT and Sales to develop and maintain third-party integrations and introduce new technology and solutions.
Project manage the delivery of Control Room services to clients from setup through to ongoing operation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Support the commercial development of Control Room services, including sales presentations and client pitches when required.
Develop operational reporting and use data and analysis to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to continually enhance the Control Room as a key support function for the wider business.
Develop best practices and continuously improve processes, systems and service delivery.
Act as a client-facing representative of the business when required.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on, analytical and commercially aware manager who can take ownership of a busy operational environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous management experience within a security control room, alarm receiving centre, monitoring centre or similar operational environment.
Strong knowledge of control room operations and security monitoring.
Experience managing and developing teams.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to deal directly with clients.
A strong understanding of compliance, procedures and operational standards.
An analytical approach, with the ability to use reporting and data to improve performance.
Strong IT and systems capability, with an ability to learn and manage multiple platforms.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
A commercial mindset and the confidence to support client pitches and business development when required.
Experience with EN50518, ISO 9001, PSA requirements, CCTV monitoring, alarm monitoring or integrated security services would be highly advantageous.

Important Information
This is a fully onsite position due to the operational nature of the role. Flexibility will be required to meet business needs, including occasional out-of-hours calls and weekend support.
