Manufacturing Operative

Are you practical, hands-on and keen to build a career in manufacturing?
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join a busy production environment where you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience, develop new skills and work alongside an experienced team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and an interest in manufacturing or construction.
What you’ll be doing

  • Learn and develop practical manufacturing skills through on-the-job training.
  • Complete required training and achieve agreed skill levels.
  • Support your department while gaining an understanding of other areas of the business.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
  • Assist with additional tasks and occasional off-site training or work when required.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improvements.
  • Help maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Work towards key performance targets, including quality, scrap and Right First Time (RFT).

What we’re looking for

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent; further education is an advantage.
  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience is beneficial.
  • Counterbalance or Reach forklift licence is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, practical approach and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A growth mindset and genuine interest in developing new skills.
  • Reliable, motivated and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
