Field Quality Manager
A growing infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Field Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance across EV charging infrastructure and construction projects nationwide. This is a site-based, field-focused role requiring regular travel to live sites across Ireland.
This position will suit a hands-on quality professional from a construction, electrical infrastructure, utilities, data centre, mission-critical, or civil engineering background. The role is focused on on-site inspections, audits, contractor oversight, and quality compliance across both electrical and civil works.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits across EV infrastructure and construction projects.
- Verify that electrical and civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, Irish and EU standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Inspect electrical installations including cabling, distribution boards, earthing and bonding, containment systems, EV chargers, and protection systems.
- Inspect civil works including groundworks, ducting, concrete works, trenching, cable routes, and reinstatement.
- Review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure contractor adherence to quality procedures.
- Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), driving corrective and preventative actions.
- Attend site meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-construction meetings representing the quality function.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, photographic evidence, reports, and quality documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based Quality, QA/QC, or construction supervision role.
- Strong experience working on active construction or infrastructure sites with multiple subcontractors.
- Background in construction, electrical infrastructure, utilities, data centres, renewable energy, or civil engineering projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction, Utilities, or a related discipline (degree, higher certificate, or trade).
- Safe Pass / CSCS and a full clean driving licence.
Desirable: ISO 9001 / Quality Auditor certification, NEBOSH or equivalent, EV or renewable energy experience.
This role is not suited to manufacturing or factory-based QA profiles.
