Overview
A leading automotive service provider is seeking an experienced Workshop Mechanic to join its Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) Centre based in Tallaght. Key Responsibilities

Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles in line with manufacturer and company standards.

Inspect, assess, and diagnose vehicle faults; prepare accurate parts lists and labour estimates.

Record all work, parts usage, and job times using workshop management systems.

Ensure all workshop tools, equipment, and facilities are maintained safely and efficiently.

Liaise with management and colleagues regarding parts orders, stock control, and workflow scheduling.

Support the wider workshop operation by assisting with ad hoc repairs and improvement initiatives.

Carry out occasional roadside repair or recovery work as directed.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Motor Mechanic with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate (Craft) or equivalent.

Time-served experience as a motor mechanic in a professional workshop environment.

Strong practical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.

Proficient in diagnostic and service management tools (e.g., DMS, eVHC).

Full, clean B Driving Licence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
