Qualified Accountant – Join a Market Leader in the Capital Equipment Industry

Are you a recently qualified accountant eager to broaden your commercial experience and make an impact in a dynamic, supportive environment?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-established, market-leading organisation within the capital equipment sector. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in financial operations, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of the finance function.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Support the month-end close process (including extended hours on the final working day)

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations (EUR and GBP)

  • Prepare and submit VAT, VIES, Intrastat, and CSO returns

  • Manage debtors and liaise closely with the Credit Controller

  • Provide cover across accounts payable, credit control, and payroll during absences

  • Review, code, and process supplier invoices, expenses, and mileage claims

  • Maintain the company vehicle register and liaise with insurers as required

  • Conduct bi-annual BIK reviews for company vehicles

  • Assist in annual audit preparation and insurance renewals

  • Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting initiatives


About You

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience

  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Sage is an advantage

  • Previous exposure to payroll processes desirable

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

  • Detail-focused, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Professional, reliable, and eager to learn
