PR & Communications Assistant
In collaboration with our client, Clark Recruitment invite you to unravel “Something Extraordinary Every Day”. The PR & Communications Assistant reports into the PR and Communications Director to help deliver the PR strategy for the business. The PR Assistant will help to secure and deliver best in class PR coverage for our client. The successful candidate will help to ensure optimal positioning of the business in local, national and international media, focusing on communication of the right image and message to the press, influencers and internally to staff and partners. As part of a fast-paced team, this role will suit someone looking to be a team player and to grow their confidence and career in the PR world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Media monitoring – coverage compilation and dissemination to the wider team as appropriate.
- Coordinate and prepare content/presentations for brands and/or internal meetings as required.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and brands around press and influencer visits on site, press events and HNW/VIP visitors.
- Responding to media queries, especially for images, in a timely manner.
- Participate in Do Good initiatives as required.
- Work closely with the marketing team in relation to content production and use and maximising use of PR assets across all channels.
- Drafting press releases for newsworthy events and launches within the organisation.
- Work closely with the PR and Communications Director on all partnerships and sponsorships.
- Work closely with the PR agency to maximise their time and resources.
- Assisting with all aspects of press events, photocalls and photoshoots, on or off site.
- Liaising closely with global PR teams.
- Identify stories ideas, opportunities and angles.
- Raise PO’s, assist with PR budget.
BACKGROUND & SKILLS NEEDED:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong project management and coordination skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong creativity for idea generation and PR opportunity ideas.
An interest in and understanding of the media landscape.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to build and foster close working relationships with agencies, media and influencers.
2 years’ experience in a similar role.
PR or communications qualification is desirable.
