Payroll Specialist

Are you ready to take your payroll expertise to the next level? We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Payroll Specialist to join my Kildare based client.
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless and compliant payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage monthly payrolls, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Employee Transactions: Handle new hires, terminations, status changes, and pay rate updates for payroll submissions.
  • Compliance: Implement statutory payroll requirements and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Review and Approval: Ensure payroll accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Communication: Serve as the point of contact for employee and stakeholder payroll queries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Taxation, and Finance departments.
  • Process Improvements: Contribute to process enhancements and standardisation.
  • Professional Standards: Maintain high professional standards in line with company policies.
  • Payroll Analysis: Identify and explain variances in weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Deductions: Calculate PAYE, PRSI, USC, pensions, and other deductions.
  • Employee Queries: Address payroll-related queries and provide advice.
  • Onboarding/Exits: Manage new hires and employee exits.
  • Payroll Administration: Handle payroll adjustments, prepare reports, tax filings, and maintain leave records.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a comparable role.
  • Qualifications: Payroll qualification, such as IPASS, required.
  • Skills: Excellent teamwork, communication, time management, and computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP and Success Factors desirable but not essential.
  • MS Office: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
