Office Administrator/ Receptionist

Our client is seeking an experienced Office Administrator/Receptionist to join their dynamic team within the equine industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a fast-paced and specialised environment, supporting both administrative and front-office functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Greet and assist all visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it is directed to the appropriate person or department.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of office supplies, stationery, and consumables.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Office Manager and Stud Manager as required.
  • Coordinate feed orders with yards to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records related to fuel orders, staff clothing, PPE, and other operational requirements.
  • Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules and associated records.
  • Arrange service appointments, report faults, and ensure service providers meet insurance and Health & Safety policy requirements.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as an Office Administrator or Receptionist, ideally within the equine or agricultural industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in maintaining records and handling administrative tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM once a month during the breeding season.
