Accounts / Financial Reporting Analyst

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys turning numbers into actionable information, is comfortable with weekly reporting cycles, and can work confidently with both finance and commercial colleagues. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare weekly Revenue Flash reports for the Finance Manager and Group distribution (mid-week).
• Interrogate flash data to track revenue versus budget and highlight trends or variances.
• Reconcile revenue actuals after billing closes (end of week) to the reported flash figures.
• Implement forecasting improvements as variances arise and drive process enhancements.
• Liaise with accounts colleagues to ensure the billing cycle closes on time and accurately.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis and support month-end reporting tasks as required.
Desired Attributes
• Experience in a similar reporting or revenue-focused role desirable but not essential.
• Accounts qualification desirable but not essential.
• Comfortable working with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS); dashboard creation a plus.
• Power BI experience desirable but not essential — training/support available.
• Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliation.
• Strong communicator able to present findings to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Reliable, deadline-driven, and proactive about improving reporting accuracy and efficiency.
