Accountant
My client in Dublin 24 is on the hunt for a dynamic accountant to join their vibrant team! This exciting role offers the chance to be at the heart of a bustling accounts and customer services office. You'll take charge of managing stock operations, from liaising with suppliers and processing purchase orders to receipting stock and handling supplier invoices in Sage. Duties / Responsibilities:
- Bi-monthly ROI VAT Return: Submit via ROS by the 23rd of the month following the period
- Quarterly NI VAT Return: Submit via Sage by the 7th of the second month following the period
- Intrastat Return: Submit by the 23rd of the following month
- WEEE Reports: Submit by the 19th of the month following
- CSO Returns: Submit on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Non-stock Purchase Invoices: Process in Sage
- Sales Office Liaison: Liaise with the Sales Office and Reps weekly, following up on open sales orders
- Sales Orders and Invoices: Work closely with the team to learn the sales order and invoice processing
- Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare accounts and supporting schedules
- Year-End Accounts: Prepare year-end accounts file, liaise with auditors, and manage year-end stock take
- Monthly Payroll: Process using Thesaurus software
- Employee Claims: Handle subsistence and expense claims, reporting to Revenue
- Payments: Manage payments to stock and service suppliers
Desired attributes / Qualifications:
- Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role
- Experience in handling ROI and NI VAT Returns and Intrastat submissions
- Detail-orientated with excellent attention to detail
- IT literate with. Experience in Sage / Thesaurus desirable but not essential
- Experience in preparing monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, and liaising with auditors
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to liaise with people at all levels
