Job Title:          Sales Manager
Reports To:      Operations Manager
Job Purpose:     
The purpose of the Sales Manager role is to develop sales strategies, manage sales teams and attract new clients. The successful sales manager will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. You will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To meet or exceed the revenue targets through the Sales Teams activities
  • Set Targets, performance plans and standards for Sales Team
  • Identifying, recruit & hire skilled Sales Executives
  • Train, coach and manage the Sales Team
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
  • Managing and when necessary, answering and processing of sales calls in the office
  • Increase customer revenue by developing customer upgrade opportunities
  • Manage and communicate with customers during difficult situations which may arise
  • Develop a strategy to retain our customers and reduce or prevent customer cancellations
  • Attendance of business events (Chamber of Commerce & LEO), conferences, fairs, and trade shows to build business relationships
  • Meet with your Team regularly to review progress, targets, and general performance reviews
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
  • Monitor the competition, industry trends and economic indicators
  • Develop a CRM system and manage the efficiencies of sales leads and customer data
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to increase leads, target audience and development of the brand

Person Specification:

  • Outstanding external and internal communication skills
  • Time management skills: an ability to prioritise time and tasks
  • Empathy and the capacity to understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Anticipates the needs of customers and proactively takes initiative to take actions as required to keep priorities on target
  • Excellent motivational and analytical skills
  • Strong results-driven experience in Sales
  • Good working knowledge of using MS Office to a competent level within an office environment, especially MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Highly organised, flexible, detail-oriented and able to multi-task under pressure.
  • People Managing skills coupled with positive leadership
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the standards of our insurance company.
  • Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements
