Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) is looking to recruit Sustainability Project manager to lead on a European funded project and to support of a variety of projects related to Sustainable manufacturing. These projects range from Nationally, internationally and industry funding sources across the areas of circular economy, energy efficiency and water management.

Working with IMR’s Director of Sustainable Manufacturing you will utilise your existing knowledge and skills to ensure the project benefits/impacts are realised

Specific responsibilities:

  • Manage the successful delivery of projects within the Sustainable manufacturing portfolio
  • Carry out team resourcing capacity scenario planning
  • Manage the change impact
  • Direct and motivate the Sustainable manufacturing project owners
  • Provide leadership, quality assurance, motivate and coach team members to develop their skill sets and capabilities
  • Work with cross functional groups and business teams within IMR to deliver the on-project requirements
  • Develop problem solving and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure projects deliver expected benefits/impacts within time, cost, and quality constraints
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers both internal and external

Experience Required:

For this role, we are seeking an ambitious candidate who wants to further lead the project management function across a diverse portfolio of sustainable manufacturing projects

Minimum requirements for the role include:

  • BSC in sustainability/energy/ environmental or related field
  • A project management qualification such as Prince2, Project Management Professional (PMP), diploma in project management.
  • 3-5 years+ program/portfolio management
  • 5 years+ project management with business/technical analysis
  • Experience working in a research project environment
  • Experience in both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies
  • Experience of working to committed deadlines and budgets
  • Experience of working with technical and non-technical resources
  • Experience of working with end users and managing their expectations.
  • Experience in developing business processes to support efficient project management

Salary & Benefits

This position will command a package consisting of basic salary (depending on experience), employer pension contribution and 5 weeks holidays.
