We are partnering with our client, Endress+Hauser, to recruit for an experienced TMS & Data Analytics Expert to join their growing team in Kill, Co. Kildare. Endress+Hauser is a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering.

You will be reporting to the IT TMS & Data Analytics Manager and you will work in a team of 4 new people covering the areas of transport management platform (TMP), data management, data warehouse (DWH), and data analytics. The specific roles will be set according to projects at hand and the corresponding work packages.

The Tasks

The team of 4 new people covers the areas transport management platform (TMP), data management, data warehouse (DWH), and data analytics. The specific roles will be set according to projects at hand and the corresponding work packages:

  • DWH management and development, including data modelling (definition and documentation of data structures) in cooperation with internal and external specialists
  • Close collaboration with the business teams to understand business challenges and find solutions through data analytics
  • Quantitative ad-hoc analyses, using visual analytics, development of algorithms and machine learning as appropriate
  • Data visualization, including creation of dashboards (mainly using Tableau Software) in the context of Logistics Services, both financial and non-financial.
  • Evaluation and monitoring of quality and plausibility of data
  • Operational tasks related to the DWH: performance tuning, security, back-up, etc.
  • Development and maintenance of processes and documentation (for e. g. living handbook of data modelling)
  • Project Management in developing TMP functions, Carrier Integration and setting-up IT infrastructure for Warehouses
  • Monthly IT Workshops with Business Travel to Germany and Switzerland

Your Profile:

  • Experience in data analytics, covering a significant portion, but not necessarily all, of the above tasks
  • Bachelor in Business Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (or other sciences) matched with relevant professional experience
  • Alternatively strong experience in freight forwarding with a strong data analytics affinity and secondary education
  • Curious to understand data to build the bridge between IT know-how and business understanding
  • Strong ability to abstract and think analytically
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Programming experience, familiarity with SQL and some data management and analysis software (Excel, relational databases, data visualization, Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, SPSS …)
  • Knowledge of modern data visualization tools, especially Tableau, would be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge about Logistics IT SAP WM or transportation platforms
  • Good skills in MS Office
  • Know-how of computing infrastructure (HW specifications, security, networking) is beneficial
  • Fluent spoken and written knowledge of English, in addition German, French, Polish are desirable
  • Independent working method and team spirit, ability to work under pressure
  • Reliability, diligence, determination, and sense of responsibility
  • European Passport due to regular business travel to Germany and Switzerland
  • Flexibility due to Rotating Shift System to cover Global Logistics Footprint (Asia/Pacific and Americas)
