Our Kildare based client is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer. This is a key position responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site. The CI Engineer will utilize analytical skills and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, techniques, and tools to solve problems as well as coaching and mentoring others to utilize the same methodologies to improve their processes and solve problems.
Key Responsibilities:
· As a leader for Continuous Improvement you will provide the necessary support, advice and assistance for all CI projects including CPM and AM/PM.
· Develop and implement a plan in conjunction with the Manufacturing Manager for CI projects in all operations areas.
· Responsible for CI project delivery, and the achievement of project goals.
· Owner of a tracking system for all CI projects
· Identification and prioritisation of efficiency opportunities/ process improvements in manufacturing and supporting systems to create flow, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
· Support coach, and mentor others on Continuous improvement tools and problem-solving methodologies.
· Support the implementation of problem-solving tools in the relevant areas, including delivery of training, coaching users as required and assist department heads in the tracking of completion of actions.
· Coach a culture of continuous improvement daily by asking questions to challenge the status quo, reviewing processes for improvement or optimization opportunities, and mentoring Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
· Conduct process reviews and Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for new and existing equipment and provide leadership in specifying and implementing corrective actions
· Provide input into the design, review and implementation of product quality improvement procedures.
· Lead and support the generation of annual performance and cost performance plans (CPT). Monitor and publicise progress of individual programmes and projects throughout the cycle.
· Support Managers and Financial Controllers in targeting zero manufacturing variances, deploying data analysis tools as required.
· Other tasks as outlined by your line Manager.

· Third level qualification (level 8 minimum) in Production, Industrial or Engineering disciplines and relevant experience in Manufacturing / Engineering fields.
· Experience in an CI / Manufacturing role, minimum of 5 years desirable
· Strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma best practice, tools and processes
· Knowledge of relevant ISO standards & legislation
· Proven project management and problem-solving skills
· Excellent IT skills
