Our client in the Cavan/Meath area have a vacancy for a Senior Team Leader within their manufacturing facility. 
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing the Senior Team Leader will lead and manage the plant shift teams including Team Leaders to achieve objectives on health, safety, environment, quality, output, costs and continuous incremental improvement in line with the company’s corporate, statutory and business plan requirements in the facility.
The Senior Team Leader is responsible for the site outside normal office working hours. You will be on a 12 hour continuous shift pattern – 3 days 1 week, 4 next (operating days, nights and weekends)

The role will involve the following responsibilities, amongst others:
•    Responsible for the co-ordination and direction of cross functional teams of the designated production areas to achieve business goals.
•    Coach, motivate and develop team members through communication, employee development and versatility exposure. 
•    Promote a customer and quality first culture within the team.
•    Promote a continuous improvement work environment where a solutions focused approach to work is utilised. 
•    Champion the use of continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, 6S etc and assist in the identification of improvement projects. 
•    To liaise with other functions such as Continuous Improvement, R&D to facilitate process improvement.
•    Maintain a safe work environment to ensure zero lost time incidents.
•    Complete HSEQ audits and assume responsibility to ensure all corrective actions relevant to the Production area are closed out.

Position Requirements:
•    Minimum 5 years operating experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years supervisory experience.
•    Excellent analytical skills including the ability to identify improvements in process, work methods.
•    Experience of operating equipment within a highly regulated manufacturing facility is essential
•    Excellent communication/interpersonal and report writing skills.
•    Good knowledge of computers  - Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
•    Previous experience working with SCADA and ERP systems
•    Ability to make decisions on own initiative and as part of a team. 
•    Flexible, results driven, willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
•    Proven problem solver with a positive proactive attitude and good influencing skills are essential.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities within a manufacturing environment.
•    Green belt Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience is desirable. 
Where certification does not exist it is expected there would be a willingness to undertake necessary training as part of continuous professional development.
